Fondato nel 1973, Schwalbe è un marchio tedesco di proprietà di Ralf Bohle GmbH. Con sede vicino a Colonia, il produttore realizza i suoi modelli in uno stabilimento indonesiano. L'azienda Schwalbe è particolarmente nota per i suoi pneumatici di alta qualità, come il Marathon, che dal 1983 è diventato un punto di riferimento nel mondo del ciclismo.
Negli anni '90, il produttore si è fatto conoscere con il primo pneumatico da fuoristrada, affermandosi come uno dei principali protagonisti del settore off-road. Oggi Schwalbe commercializza pneumatici per tutti i tipi di attività ciclistica: strada, mountain bike, touring, gravel, city, ecc. Rinomati per la loro notevole resistenza, i pneumatici Schwalbe sono equipaggiati con protezione antiforatura.
